Sonja
trained and performed for cadet, junior
and senior team of BC Red Star. She
was a captain of cadet team. With the
cadet team, she won the second place
– silver medal on the Championship of
Serbia. With junior team, in which the
captain was her sister Milena, Sonja
won the sixth place on the Championship
of Serbia.
During the League competition, Sonja,
aged 15, started to play for senior
– first team of BC Red Star.
With the great number of minutes, with
BC Red Star first senior team, she won
a Cup of Serbia competition.
Senior first team qualified for the
Super League of the National Championship.

Team preparations.
She performed on FIBA – European Championship
in Poland , as a captain of Cadet National
Team of Serbia and Montenegro / See

With only one day of rest, Sonja joined
Junior National Team that had come back
from FIBA World Championship with a
silver medal. Sonja had an extraordinary
task. Headquarters of National Team
decided that although two years younger,
only Sonja was able to successfully
replace absent best player and National
Team captain (Dubljevic).
Only 72 hours after the Cadet European
Championship in Poland , Sonja traveled
to Junior European Championship in Hungary
. From one game to another she played
better and better and at the end won
a gold medal as the fourth team member
in the majority of elements / See statistics

In this season she had approximately
204 trainings and 90 games.
