Sonja
performed for pioneer, cadet and junior
team of BC Red Star. She practiced every
day and played two or three games on
weekends.
She was a captain of the senior team.
BC Red Star pioneer team won the first
place and gold medal on the Championship
of Serbia and afterwards repeated this
success on the Championship of Serbia
and Montenegro .
Sonja was MVP on both championships,
with outstanding index on the final
game of 54 index points.
On this game, she has accomplished greater
index than all other players together.
Sister Milena got a gold medal on the
FIBA European Championship, which was
a challenge and encouragement for Sonja.
Cadet National Team.
FIBA European Championship – on the
preparations of cadet National Team
of Serbia and Montenegro , Sonja was
a year younger than other players, but
she was a standard first five player
and bearer of the play.
On FIBA European Championship in Italy
she won a silver medal /See statistics/.
In this season she had approximately
200 trainings and 80 games.
