FIBA EUROPE for the first time hosted the Supercup game. It was played betwen Spartak MR and Galatasaray. First time ever trophy and medals of the Supercup went to the team of Spartak MR, result was 92:59. Serbian basketball, which is not so successful lately, was represented by coaches Ratgeber and Saric next to the court, while on the court were Sonja Petrovic (13points) and referee Jasmina Tatic. Sonja was third scorer in team of Spartak MR and add one more medal to her succession.

During preparation period for 2009/10 season all over the Europe are held tournaments. On tournament in Istanbul, along with host BC Fenerbahce, three peat champion of Europe, Spartak MR, Good Angels Kosice and Ramat Hasharon also took part. Champion of Europe was on his level, with 3 victories over 20 points advantage. Sonja's start was very successful: 11,5 point per game and 5,1 rebounds.
